Transit to Hope

Maria Mac Dalland, Denmark, 2006

28 min.DK/Documentary

How little can Denmark get away with in helping refugees in need, toeing international conventions while treating people so badly that they are forced to leave the country again? Transit to Hope is a documentary with animated tableaux that are about food and nourishment, both literally and figuratively. Meals in the extradition camps have become a humiliating and constant reminder that people are unwanted.
