Sir John Soane's House And Museum, London

Lone Scherfig, Carsten Thau, Denmark, 1993

12 min.DK/Documentary

Sir John Soane's House and Museum. Soane was an architect around the year 1800, well-known for the Bank of England. His most fantastic work is the house on Lincoln's Inn Fields. A labyrinthine cabinet of mirrors, paintings and architectonic elements. A dense, fragmentary and disoriented world, where the interior is transformed into a pictoresque ruin. The collector's own puzzle, an archaeological time machine.
