Film is all trickery and illusion, and in this little documentary two cartoon lads, Per Tønnes Nielsen and Anders Sørensen, show us how an animated picture is made. Their previous work includes »Eventyret om den vidunderlige kartoffel«, »Eventyret om den vidunderlige musik«, and »Verdenshistorien«, have been asked to make a cartoon about Denmark. We follow the process from concept to script and storyboard. We watch the characters being designed, animated, and coloured. Backgrounds, sound, and music are created. Finally there's the first night of »Fællesskab...? En tegnefilm om Danmark«.
