Masato er en ung japansk Ramen kok. Hans far, der ligeledes var Ramen kok, bosatte sig som ung i Singapore, hvor han mødte Masatos mor. Efter nogle år i Singapore valgte Masatos forældre dog at slå sig ned i Japan. Nu hvor begge hans forældre er døde, beslutter Masato sig for at rejse tilbage til Singapore for at opsøge sine rødder. Dette bringer ham på kulinarisk rejse. En rejse, der løfter sløret for mere end familiehemmeligheder og lækre madopskrifter.
