Three Puerto Rican girls aged 18 to 20 live in the apartment blocks around Bushwick Avenue in the heart of Brooklyn, one of the most deprived areas of New York. They dream of finding a way out of the hopelessness. Their stories are told with great respect and affection through everyday events. With its lingering camera, calm rhythm and lyrical, jazzy music track Angels of Brooklyn creates a contemplative space around the girls and their chaotic lives.
