A unique piece of contemporary political history; the birth, rise and fall of the Danish political party New Alliance, but the film is first and foremost a unique insight into Danish politics as they play out inside and outside the Danish parliament.
"Vote for change" show how feelings and personal relations determine important decisions in politics. It's about the fascination of party leader Naser Khaders project, which so many are seized by in the beginning, including the documentary film maker himself.
The film also shows the unpleasant decline that involves everyone around New Alliance as the party gradually crumbles away. By portraying the disagreement in the party leadership about the political project of New Alliance, the internal disputes about strategy and tactics and the unmatched expectations as to how to work together, the film offers the audicene a valuable key to understand one of the more spectacular political phenomenon's in Danish modern history.
