The film takes place in the days leading up to Christmas when the shelter Fedor in Sct. Petersborg is filled with children waiting to be passed on in the system. Nastya (15) is here because she has run away from home. A home with a mother who does not care about her and a stepfather who hates her. Roma (17) has escaped from a psychiatric ward where he was hospitalized because he sniffed glue. The shelter offers secure surroundings for the children and during the few days of Romas' stay, a kind of love begins to grow between him and Nastya.
»Nastyas' Heart« is a film about children and young people's survival under extreme conditions. It's a movie about how little it takes to give vulnerable children a normal life.
