In this film, 70-year-old Sylvia Woods tells about a black working class woman and her life-long active struggle against fascism and the oppression of women. She is a representative of the mass of anonymous, black women and their stupendous achievements. But there is no place for her in history which traditionally takes in only the the few celebrities from the time of the Civil Rights Movement.
