We Demand Equal Pay

Lisbeth Dehn Holgersen, Denmark, 1972

12 min.DK/Documentary

About working class women and their struggle for equal pay in 1971 when they stipulated that no agreement was to be signed by the negotiators if their demand for equal pay was not met. It happened, nevertheless. It is a warm film, entertaining at times. Women from other classes offer their support in organising the struggle, and by and large they provide a fine back-up without taking over.
