Da Jocelyn en dag tilfældigvis sidder i en kørestol, møder han en ung kvinde, som han straks sætter sig for at ville forføre. Derfor fortsætter han med at simulere, at han er lam. Uheldigvis bliver han ganske uventet forelsket i kvindens søster, der rent faktisk sidder i kørestol, og så er han fanget i sit eget spind af løgne.
