Filmstjernen Ruth Breton har det med at forelske sig. Det går ud over Walter, da hun møder von Zornhorst. Da han svigter hende, bliver hun syg. Walter skriver et manuskript til hende, og hun dør, da sidste scene, "Pjerrots Død", er færdig (fra Poul Malmkjærs bog "Asta - Mennesket, myten og filmstjernen", 2000).
