Storforbryderen Dan Daugherty holder til i Chinatown, hvor han driver en tredierangs cabaret. Da han opdager, at der er kommet en konkurrent, en natcabarat ved navn 'Ørnens rede', som nyder stor popularitet blandt turister, tager han derhen for at tale med ejeren. Det bliver ham nægtet, og han trænger ind i privatkontoret, hvor han til sin rædsel står overfor en uhyggeligt udseende mand med et vansiret ansigt, Ørnen selv!
