Datter af Poul og Jytte Hauch-Fausbøll. Halvsøster til skuespilleren Søren Hauch-Fausbøll. Gift i 1980 med tidligere B&U-chef Mogens Vemmer.
Sammen med Finn Bentzen og Thomas Winding opfandt hun børneserien Bamses Billedbog for Danmarks Radio.
