With tickets at half price on Sunday, no doubt a visit to the cinema seemed an attractive choice for many this past weekend.
Admissions reached 150,000, landing three Danish films on top-3:
Bille August's "Marie Krøyer", which premiered on 27 September, sold 45,000 tickets, and Tobias Lindholm's "A Hijacking", out in cinemas a week earlier, was last weekend's choice of film for 34,000 cinemagoers.
Susanne Bier's "Love Is All You Need" has proven a favorite among Danish cinemagoers since it premiered on 6 September, and even though the film suffered a small setback of 15% in ticket sales, interest in Bier's romance with Pierce Brosnan and Trine Dyrholm continues to attract a large audience. In total the film has sold 500,000 tickets after four weeks in release, steadily becoming one of the best-selling Danish films in domestic theatres this year alongside "A Royal Affair" and "This Life".
