Strong Danish voices in Toronto

FESTIVAL. Malou Reymann is world premiering her second feature film, 'Unruly', at the Toronto Film Festival. Also on show at the prominent North American venue is Ali Abbasi's 'Holy Spider', Hlynur Pálmason's 'Godland' and Lars von Trier's 'The Kinddom Exodus'.

The Toronto Film Festival, one of North America's most prominent festivals, is welcoming filmmakers from around the world from 8 September.

Among this year's young talents is Malou Reymann, whose sophomore feature film, 'Unruly', will have his world premiere in the Discovery programmes.

Ali Abbasi's Cannes winner 'Holy Spider' will be screening in Special Presentations, and Hlynur Pálmason's 'Godland' is ready to meet the festival audience in Contemporary World Cinema. Both films will be celebrating their North American premiere.

Finally, Lars von Trier's 'The Kingdom Exodus', which premiered recently at the Venice Film Festival, will be part of the Danish line-up, as well as a number of co-productions with Danish filmmakers on board.

The Toronto Film Festival runs 8-18 September.
