A chaotic childhood, a father who hit rock bottom, and the feeling that no one would catch you if you fell. That was the reality for Thomas Bach, frontman of the successful Danish band Ganger. His parents divorced when he was very young, and all he remembers from his childhood are the conflicts. But when his father becomes terminally ill, Thomas returns to the windswept Thy to care for him. Here, his father hands him a stack of love letters from when his parents were young and in love, asking him to read them after his passing. With a bundle of passionate love letters in hand, Thomas begins writing Ganger’s third album—an album that might also help him reconcile with his mother, whom he hasn’t spoken to in years. As the letters transform into music—and with the help of his father’s old biker friends, his mother’s closest friend, and the manager of the legendary local nightclub Diskotek Bowlerhatten—Thomas begins to rewrite his own story. And it all starts with a whirlwind romance!
