This film is a characterization of ten young Danish poets. Its motto is the quotation, »Literature began with poetry, a singing nomad, long before people settled, had a fixed abode and began to write.» Taking travel as its theme, the film moves through various poetic landscapes. Ten different voices find expression here - each one with its own temperament, its own breath, but sharing common views on the world and poetry.
