The director's point of departure was a newspaper report that 4.000 Danish youngsters run away from home every year. The film, based on further research but otherwise fictitious, tells of Alice, 16, and some drug-dealing friends who take curious pride in their roles as trouble-makers. But what of the trouble they get themselves into? Can they find a haven at the Care Center for Children?
