A dramatic tale of one man's hunt for self-respect and identity; a kind of Greenland western. Despite his good nature, Rasmus, a Greenlander, is going through a tough period with unemployment and alcohol. A violent family tragedy awakens him and sends him on a perilous odyssey through the vast plains of snow and ice. The time has come for him to make the hunting trip he has been dreaming of for so long. On his journey he encounters mythical figures which serve as an aid in retrieving his Greenlandic identity.
