Thomas isn't content with Maestro always lying around on the couch, sleeping in Thomas' bed, reading Thomas' paper… Maestro behaves more like a human than a dog! Maestro can't see what the problem is. Thomas tries persistently to train Maestro to act like a real dog: he tries put a collar on him, gives him a dog basket, and tells him to eat dog food from a dog bowl. But it’s useless – Maestro won’t budge and Thomas realizes that maybe it’s himself who needs to change.
