Linda Wendel

Director. Born 1955, Denmark. Graduate of the National Film School of Denmark, 1984.


Feature film debut "Ballerup Boulevard" (1986), followed by "Lykken er en underlig fisk"/"Happiness is a Curious Catch" (1989). "Viktor & Viktoria" (1993) won Best Fictional Film at Montevideo International Film Festival.


"Baby" (2003), based on a novel by Kirsten Thorup, was a winner of Best Female Director at Mexico International Contemporary Film Festival. "One Shot" (2008), Wendel's seventh feature film, won the Russian Film Critics' Award at Moscow International Film Festival, and was also selected for Montreal. "Julie" (2011) is a contemporary version of August Strindberg's "Miss Julie".
