Producer. Born 30/4 1958. In 1985 Tove Grasten founded the production company Regner Grasten FIlm together with her husband, Regner Grasten.
Regner Grasten Film started its production with several comedies, such as 'The Fight for the Red Cow' (Jarl Friis-Mikkelsen og Ole Stephensen, 1987) and "The Red Thread" (Piv Bernth, 1989) starring the famous Danish orchestra Shu-Bi-Dua. Apart from comedies the company's profile was dominated by the production of children's and youth films, like the popular film-series about the Crumbs (1991-) and Anja & Viktor (1999-). With examples like 'Stolen Spring' (Peter Schrøder, 1992), based on Hans Scherfig's novel by the same name, and 'This Life' (Anne-Grethe Bjarup Riis, 2012), about a Danish family's resistance during WW2, the company began making broad-based films with Danish national and historical character.
