Blinde Marta forelsker sig i billedhuggeren Paul, som glemmer hende for det mondæne liv og den nemme kunst. Marta bringer ham tilbage på rette vej, men da han igen svigter, tager hun ham med i døden (fra Poul Malmkjærs bog "Asta - Mennesket, myten, filmstjernen", 2000).
