Halloweenkongen Peter Skellington, der hersker over den uhyggelige Allehelgenby, opdager eksistensen af den idylliske Juleby, regeret af Santa Claus. Han kan lide stedet og beslutter at lade Santa Claus kidnappe for selv at overtage hans rolle. Det år får børnene nogle sære og uhyggelige julegaver. Peter Skellington kommer dog på bedre tanker, og alt ender godt.
