Chez moi

Susanne Bier, Denmark, 1993

102 min.DK/Feature

Skeletons tumble out of the family closet once Jan, a chef and restaurateur, is told that he was only the adopted son of his recently deceased mother. He sets out to find his real mother, who has become an eccentric recluse living in some glorious past. Nevertheless, she takes Jan on a precipitate taxi-ride to Portugal, where his identity crisis is replaced by oddball existential turmoil.
