Producer. Born 8/4 1956. Graduated as a producer from the National Film School of Denmark in 1987. Aalbæk is the co-founder and former CEO of Zentropa.
Aalbæk Jensen made his feature film debut as a producer with 'Europa' (1991), which marked the beginning of his lifelong collaboration with Lars von Trier. In 1992 they founded the production company Zentropa. Besides the films of Lars von Trier and his TV series 'The Kingdom', Zentropa has produced films by renowned directors such as Susanne Bier, Lone Scherfig, Per Fly, Nikolaj Arcel, Mads Brügger, Simon Staho, Jørgen Leth, Anders Morgenthaler, Niels Arden Oplev, Annette K. Olesen, Pernille Fischer Christensen and Thomas Vinterberg. Among the company's most recent efforts are such commercial successes as the 'Department Q' franchise and the 'Klown' franchise.
