The Danish Government felt obliged to send a representative to an official meeting on social affairs. It was decided to prepare a film compilation with a German commentary to be screened at this event. Material was collected from many sources including a film in production dealing with the future of Denmark. Every opportunity was taken to stress those features of Danish life which were at variance with Nazi conceptions.
The film shows how 800,000 Kroner are expended every year in Denmark for social purposes. Public aid is at the disposal of the citizen, even before his birth, and through childhood and adolescence into adult life and old age. We see something of the training of mothers, the work of the 'health nurses', the school physician and the school dentist. The film touches on the care of cripples, the deaf and dumb and the blind, and of the aged.
