The 10-minute sensory VR project invites you to tune into an old human frequency from when man and nature were – for better and for worse – connected. The experience lets you be the subject of a myth about a man who is seduced by the call of the merpeople. You will experience a call from the sea inviting you to let go of the world around you. Reality will literally wash away, submerging you in a mysterious, yet comforting world under water. A world that seduces you with the promise of an eternal home in the abyss.
The VR piece serves as both a stand-alone VR-experience and a companion piece to the documentary/hybrid film 'Thyland'. Both works are born of the harsh seas of the North and the superstition that lived among the fishermen at the mercy of nature’s whims.
