Man Against Horse

Franz Ernst, Denmark, 2003

25 min.DK/Documentary

Man and horse forms one of the world's oldest relationships. We are endlessly fascinated by the horse. Wild horses are found in many parts of the world ¿ but rarely in Western Europe. One of the few places where wild horses have survived is in Galicia in north western Spain. Horses have survived here for more than a thousand harsh winters. This has given rise to one of the most genuine of spectacles in which labourers and farmers disperse into the hill country every spring to force the horses to descend into the valleys.
