Haiti Express

Jørgen Leth, Denmark, 1983

92 min.DK/Feature

Writer-director Jørgen Leth's first actual feature film retains the filmmaker's stylistic trademarks (meditative voice-over narration, fragmented action, some of it improvised) in telling the story of a Danish newsman going through an indentity crisis while covering events in El Salvador and Haïti. A mysterious woman appears, disappears. Evocative moods takes precendence throughout. All dialogue in English.
