Eskil Vogt

(1974 – )

Screenwriter, director. Born 1974 in Norway. Graduated from the French film school La Fémis in Paris.

Vogt got his debut as a screenwriter with the Norwegian film 'Reprise' (2006), the first in Joachim Trier's Oslo-trilogy. The film won awards at the filmfestivals in Karlovy Vary, Toronto and Rotterdam. The partnership continued on the Norwegian films 'Oslo, 31. august' (2011) and 'Louder Than Bombs' (2015), both of which competed at Cannes, as well as 'Thelma' (2017). 'The Worst Person in the World' (2021) is the third chapter in the Oslo trilogy.

Vogt got his debut as a director with 'Blind' (2014), which won awards at Sundance Film Festival, the Berlinale and CPH PIX. 'The Innocents' (2021) is Vogt's second film as a director.

He also wrote the screenplay for the Danish feature 'Copenhagen Does Not Exist' (2022).
