Antichrist wins Nordic Council Film Prize

21. oct 2009. The Nordic Council Film Prize 2009 is awarded to the Danish film director and scriptwriter Lars von Trier and producer Meta Louise Foldager for the film "Antichrist".

Strong repertoire to Amsterdam

19. oct 2009. Prolonging life, coincidence over choice, and uncontrolled growth in megacities are some of the topics in new Danish films selected for programmes at IDFA Amsterdam, kicking off 19 November.

01. oct 2009. A Spotlight on Scandinavian Cinema is the title of New York Hamptons special focus on Nordic films. Danish films will also play at Pusan and Warsaw.

Filmhouse October

25. sep 2009. Strong, forbidden emotions between two men belonging to a new Danish fascist group is the theme of Nicolo Donato's feature film "Brotherhood", selected for Rome's festival.

24. sep 2009. Henrik Ruben Genz' "Terribly Happy" is the Danish contender for the 2010 Academy Award nominations for Best Foreign Language Film.

23. sep 2009. Amsterdam winner "Burma VJ", Berlin competitor "Cathrine" and Odense Grand Prix winner "Side by Side" are some of the Danish titles that will screen at Nordic Panorama.

At World's End — Hamburg favourite

23. sep 2009. "At World's End" is one of the five Danish films selected for the Hamburg Film Festival, one of Germany's biggest festivals focusing audience participation.

Athens celebrates Leth
