Iqbal wakes up one morning to the news that Aunt Fatwa has been named Guardian of The Jewel of India – a noble Indian distinction. Eager to skip school Iqbal persuade his dad to take the whole family to India on the occasion. But when Iqbal sets off a domino effect of chaos during a church visit with his class, he gets expelled from his school. Iqbal’s father decides that Iqbal has to stay home from India as punishment. Determent to prove that he can take responsibility Iqbal arranges with Aunt Fatwa, behind his father’s back, that he can start in an Indian school. Aunt Fatwa arranges for Iqbal to have a mentor, the very smart and same-aged girl, Abhaya. But when The Jewel of India gets stolen Iqbal’s dream of an easy-trip to India becomes a nightmare…
