In an inner city slum, 11-year old Rikke lives with her father in a flat, not really a suitable place for a pony such as the one Rikke wins in a lottery. The pony, later known as Mama Mia, moves in. But the move is a happy one that brings Rikke's dad out of his isolation when he makes friends with Rikke's school teacher. Straight family fun with director Erik Clausen's touches of social irony.
