Frelle Petersen

(1980 – )

Director, screenwriter. Born 1980 (René Frelle Petersen).

Frelle Petersen started out in the film industry as assistant director in 2003. He has since directed a number of award-winning short films. He debuted as a feature film director with 'Where Have All the Good Men Gone' (2016), which was selected for the Seattle Film Festival.

His second film, 'Uncle' (2019), won the Grand Prix at the Tokyo Film Festival and was honoured with the talent award at CPH PIX and the audience prize at the Kosmorama Trondheim Film Festival. Petersen also won a Danish Bodil for best screenplay.

Petersen's third feature film, 'Forever' (2022), had its international premiere in Competition at San Sebastián Film Festival.
