Malene Blenkov started her career in 1991 making commercials. Since then, she has produced both shorts and features, including 'The Panda Syndrome' (2006), the comedy 'Almost Perfect' (2012), the drama 'Brigdend' (2015), which won multiple international awards, the thriller 'Backstabbing for Beginners' (2018) by director Per Fly and Lone Scherfig's 'The Kindness of Strangers' (2018). In 2010 Blenkov debuted as screenwriter on a number of children's series for DR.
She is a producer and CEO of the production company Creative Alliance which she owns together with directors Per Fly, Ole Christian Madsen, Dagur Kári and Lone Scherfig.
