Her choice fell on these titles, playing in March and April: "Parents," "Shelley," "Where Have All the Good Men Gone," "The Commune," "Get Santa," "Across the Waters" and "Jacob Holdt: My Life in Pictures." All, except the latter film, will be screening with English subtitles.

Watching Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in Damien Chazelle's "La La Land" leaves no doubt that the musical genre is alive and kicking. Watch or revisit the iconic musicals "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" and "An American in Paris," and experience Chazelle's own "Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench" from 2009, the director's preliminary study for "La La Land."
Three films / 4 March – 10 April
Twice a month the Cinematheque presents Danish films, current or classic, with English subtitles for our non-Danish speaking audiences. On the bill for March are "Democrats" (5 March) by Camilla Nielsson, chronicling the bumpy road to Zimbabwe's new constitution, and "In the Blood" (12 March), a story set during one summer in Copenhagen about Simon and his friends as they experience the inevitable change from youth to adulthood. Read interviews with the directors: On the Road to Democracy and Life's Sweet Summer.
