"The Children's World" is set in a land where there are no grown ups and where girls and boys are in a constant state of war. The girls live in the forest and the boys in the city - separated by a wide plain where dangerous sand spirits live. But when Albert, during a fight, captures one of the girls, Sofie, he gets to know the enemy. Slowly the mysteries of their war, the wicked sand spirits living between them and the reason for their hatred of each other, is explained.
