Val skal giftes med senator Keeleys datter. I enhver anden familie en lykkelig begivenhed, men for Armand Goldman og Albert bliver det lidt af en katastrofe. For den konservative senator tror, at Armand er kulturattaché og manden i en retlinet kernefamilie, mens han i virkeligheden driver en drag-klub, hvor hans kæreste Albert er stjerne. Da senatoren gerne vil møde sin nye svigerfamilie, overtaler Val sine 'forældre' til at lægge deres livsstil om og optræde som en normal, pæn familie.
