I en boksering tørner to boksere sammen med et brag. Det ligner en kamp på liv og død, selv om de to faktisk er venner og kun træner sammen. Foruden at være sparringspartnere, er de to også makkere i luften - som piloter. Da de to venner bliver sendt ud på en testflyvning i et bombefly lastet med to atommissiler, viser det sig at en af vennerne har sine helt egne planer med missilerne, og pludselig bliver det blodig alvor.
