Anne-Grethe Bjarup Riis was a member of the satirical women theatre ensemble Emmas Dilemma 1995-2005. Noticable acting roles include 'The Idiots' (1998), 'Halalabad Blues' (2002), 'Skymaster, a Flying Family Fairytale' (2006) and 'We Shall Overcome' (2006).
She made her directorial feature debut with 'This Life' (2012) about a famous Danish WWII resistance group. The film was seen by more than 760,000 in theatres. She followed up with 'Catch the Dream' (2013) about Denmark's most famous race horse, Tarok.
