Editor. Born 19/7 1973. Graduated as an editor from the National Film School of Denmark in 2001.
Nielsen got his feature film debut as an editor with 'Anja & Viktor' (2001). Since then, he has edited a number of Danish and international films, including the Cannes winner 'Reconstruction' (2003) and 'King's Game' (2004), which earned him a Danish Robert Award. He also edited films such as 'Truth About Men' (2010), the Oscar nominee 'A Royal Affair' (2012) and the American 'Beasts of No Nation' (2015).
In 2021, he received an Oscar nomination in the editing category as the first Dane ever for his work on 'Sound of Metal' (2020). He won a BAFTA for the same film.
