Producer. Born 1971. René Ezra graduated from the National Danish Film School in 2003.
He has produced the Oscar nominated short fiction 'Helmer & søn' (Søren Pilmark, 2006) and several critically acclaimed feature films by the directors Tobias Lindholm and Michael Noer: 'R' (Tobias Lindholm, Michael Noer, 2010), winner of the main prize at Göteborg Film Festival, 'A Hijacking' (Tobias Lindholm, 2012), selected for Venice Film Festival, as well as 'Northwest' (Michael Noer, 2013), which won the FIPRESCI at Göteborg Film Festival, 'Key House Mirror' (Michael Noer, 2015) and 'Before the Frost' (Michael Noer, 2019), selected for Toronto.
He also produced films such as 'Queen of Hearts' (May El-Toukhy, 2019), which won the audience award at Sundance and three prizes at Göteborg Film festival, including Best Nordic Film, and 'A Perfectly Normal Family' (Malou Reymann, 2020). He also produced the domestic box-office hits 'The Reunion' (Niels Nørlev Hansen, 2011) and the sequels 'The Reunion 2 - The Funeral' (Mikkel Serup, 2014) and 'The Reunion 3' (Birger Larsen, 2016).
Ezra was selected Producer on the Move in 2006 at the Cannes Film Festival.
