Screenwriter. Born 26/10 1961 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Graduated as screenwriter from The National Film School of Denmark in 1989.
During the years Nikolaj Scherfig has written scripts for both documentaries, features and television series, whereof the latter has taken most of his time. Among these are crime series 'Unit 1' (2000) and the first three seasons of 'The Bridge'(2011-2015). He is also featured as script consultant on a number of Danish features such as 'The Cartel' (2014) and 'The Idealist' (2015).
