Actor. Born 27/11 1963. Originally worked as a glazier. Graduated from the Danish National School of Peforming Arts 1986-90.
Larsen got his debut in the cult film 'De skrigende halse' (1992). His carriere long collaboration with Thomas Vinterberg began with the director's graduation film 'Last Round' (1993) and continued throughout the 90's with 'The Boy who Walked Backwards' (1994), 'The Greatest Heroes' (1996) and 'The Celebration' (1999), which earned him a Danish Film Award.
The collaboration with Vinterberg continued on Vinterberg's english-language features 'It's All About Love' (2002) and 'Dear Wendy' (2005), both in minor supporting roles. He returned to the forefront of the cast in 'The Hunt' (2013) and 'Another Round' (2020). He was awarded the actor's trophy at San Sebastián Film Festival for his role in the latter movie (shared with his three co-actors).
Other prominent roles include 'Royal Blues' (1997), 'Taxa' (1997-1999), 'Miracle' (2000), 'Ambulance' (2005), 'The Idealist' (2015) and 'Follow the Money' (2016). He won a Danish Film Award for the latter.
